I have been requested to forward you the following resolution which was unanimously passed at the third Annual Loeting of the Committee and Parents of children attending the Peak

School.

"That the period of two years having elapsed since the Peak School as coLLenced the necessity for a school at the Peak has been amply proved.

That the responsibility for continuing the school

should no longer devolve on private individuals who can only

continue through tno courtesy of a menuer allowing the Jchool to

meet at hor house, which facility causes a certain inconve..ience,

and should be regarded as of a temporary nature to be ter inated as

erly as possible.

That the fees charged are 816 per child per month (or $15 for two children of one family) and cannot be increased

without detriment to the School.

That in the opinion of this meeting, the time has arrived when the taxpayers on the Peak are entitled to some educational facilities and that the Goverment be approached at once and requested definitoly to take some ourly action on this

matter*.

I am also requested to state that it was noticed with plo-eure that on December loth., 1912, il. E. the Governor publicly stated that there xxx was a tendency to and too much to the education of Hative children and not enough to that of the English children, also that His Excellency would be lad to do anything possible for the education of lisa children.

It is therefore confidently anticipated the Govern- "mont will now take up this matter of the reak School.

I have etc..

(sd.) E. T. Williams,

Hon. Seey,Peak School.

The Hon. Colonial Secretary.
